If you don’t want to feed them, simply roll up your window - they’ll go away. They’re quite aggressive and we had one deer try to put his front feet up into the driver’s window but we pushed him away. The animals, especially the Emus & deer want al the food you’ll give them. There were lots & lots of pigs & piglets wondering throughout the grounds as well. The owner said she was hoping to reopen it next year. A bit disappointing (to me) was the petting zoo was closed due to Covid. The Zebras were off site while birthing their young. There were lots of deer and Emus, horses, goats, ostriches, peacocks, some lamas, turtles & tortoises, a Chanel, a giraffe, a gator, and probably many more I’ve left off.

Needless to say, we went through the park 3 times and got one refill. You could get refills on the same day for an additional $5.00. She had the most fun.EVER! Admission was $11 each and a bucket of food was $10. We took our Granddaughter to her “first ever” safari park - the Harmony Park Safari. Maybe one day we will be back in the area and the reptile exhibits will be available. Overall this is a great experience with more variety of animals than a petting zoo.

We got stuck for a little bit by a large bull who was drinking water but eventually he got bored and moved. You are entering the main enclosure and are subject to what the animals are wanting to do. The giraffe, camel and tortoise seemed isolated in small pens. The cons- as some have pointed out the conditions of the enclosures we saw aren’t the best. Kids love activities like this and ours definitely did. Went through twice after wanting a refill on the bucket. We escaped relatively unharmed, minus the zebra that was chewing on our door handle? Now who can say they’ve had that happen? We’ve only seen something like this in Canada (Parc Omega) so we found this fun. We didn’t ask about car rentals due to COVID, but we did know the risk of using our car. It was only open for drive through due to COVID. We found it and decided to check it out with an 8 and 6 year old and a baby. Along with the usual hunt for healthy groceries, we check out the popular local attraction: The Harmony Safari Park! I think David and I might of had more fun than the girls. This experience has positive and negative aspects. This week we are in Huntsville, AL! Our AirBNB is a 3 bedroom house in a modest neighborhood. Instagram: about a trip to Huntsville, AL and like this AirBnB? You can book it here and if you sign up through this link, you will receive $40 off your first AirBnB stay of $75 or more, where ever you may choose! (We will recieve $20 off our next AirBnB if do so in turn, you are supporting our trip, so thank you! ?) Hope you enjoy! Like and subscribe if you had fun watching this vlog! xoxo Plus, we love to cook and find fun and healthy things to eat! David follows a strict AIP (auto-immune paleo) diet so it's important that we have the necessary outlets to supply our demand. Besides, a unique AirBnB experience can often times be half the fun!Ī big part of our trip is finding health food stores and markets that sell organic produce so that we can stay as organic and gluten-free as possible. Our cross country road trip starts in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and will end on California's bright and sunny central coast, which means we will cover most of the US! The first half of our trip will consist of us meandering our way through the south and then finishing off spring of 2019 by making our way back up through the northern half of North America! Instead of boring hotels, we will mostly be AirBnBing a week here, and a week there, so that we can get the most out of the area and a feel for each state. WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO SURPRISE GRANDMA FOR CHRISTMAS! Join our family of 4 as we embark on the trip of a lifetime. AN ALABAMA SAFARI | Huntsville, AL (Travel Vlog 7/14)
